Sotrain is a new training and assessment provider for the building services sector; gas (Febuary), energy assessment training, electrical, renewables and health & safety on site. We also provide new entrants course, such as teaching qualifications training.                                                                                 All training and assessment are delivered our new highly-modern school in Whitstable, Kent.

 

Gas Training Courses                                                                                                                                       Sotrain is approved by Blueflame for the delivery of gas assessments within the Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) for Gas Fitting Operatives. Courses include training and assessments on domestic properties. Operatives must hold the ACS qualifications in order to become Gas Safe Registered. We also deliver for People who want a career change, the pathway to gas course; this is a program to help people become gas registered engineers.

Energy Assessment Courses                                                                                                                               Sotrain is approved by City & Guilds for the delivery of Level 3 Certificate for Domestic Energy Assessors (6361-01) and Level 3 Green deal assessors Diploma in Green Deal Advice (6066-013).

Electrical Training Courses                                                                                                                           Sotrain is approved by City & Guilds for the delivery of electrical training and assessment courses including PAT Testing (2377), 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382), Initial Verification & Certification (2394) and Periodic Inspection, Testing & Certification (2395).

Renewable Energy Courses                                                                                                                          Sotrain is approved by City & Guilds for the delivery of renewal energy training and assessment courses including renewable Technologies (2399-01), Installation & Commissioning of Solar PV System ( 2399-12),Heat Pumps (2399-31)(sponsored by Daikin) and Solar Thermal hot water (2399-22). These qualifications offer a route to gaining Micro-generation Certification Scheme (MCS) accreditation.

Health and Safety Courses                                                                                                                                    Sotrain works with the HSE regulations to deliver training and assessment courses including working at height, manual handling & COSHH AND Asbestos Awareness.
